Dropoff and Pickup

Car Line Safety

Please stay OFF of cell phones during car line, especially when it is moving.
For pickup, check your children out on the Schools Out app when you arrive on PRA property.
During pick up, keep your yellow carpool tag up and visible until you leave the lot. We want to ensure the staff delivers children to the correct vehicle.
Load and drop off students only at the red curb, not down the car line. It is MUCH safer loading at the red curb.

Family Number

Each family is assigned a family number (formerly "carpool number") which is used for more than just carpooling. It serves as a family identification number for a variety of school administrative items. All students should know their family number. To check your family number, please call our front office.

Neighborhood Safety

No parking in front of driveways or neighborhood mailboxes.
No parking between the end of the PRA driveway and the swing gates.
No parking within 15 feet of an intersection.
Only cross the street at curb cuts.
Be respectful of crossing guards. They are fellow parent volunteers trying to keep your kids safe.
Please do not mingle and linger talking to other parents in the middle of the street during pickup.
Please do not allow children to play in neighborhood front/side yards while they wait for pickup.

Crossing Guard Duty

Parents are asked to help with crossing guard duty in the mornings and afternoons during drop-off and pick-up times. Carpool duty is assigned to one grade level for each month of the school year. You will receive an email with signup details prior to the month(s) you are assigned.

Parents are required to demonstrate understanding of the carpool duty expectations by watching an online crosswalk safety course. Please see the front office if you need more information about the video.

Carpool Times and Policies

Morning carpool goes from 7:45-8:15 a.m. The front doors open for children at 7:55. If you drop your kids off earlier than 7:55, they will wait outside until the front doors open.
Middle School (7th-8th grades) begins promptly at 8:10 a.m. K-6th graders start at 8:15 a.m.
Afternoon dismissal begins promptly at 3:15 p.m.
Afternoon carpool ends at 3:30 p.m. or when the carpool lane is clear, whichever comes later.
Early release days: AM carpool times are the same, PM carpool begins at 12:45pm and ends at 1:15pm or when the carpool lane is clear, whichever comes later.
Students who have not been picked up by this time will be taken to Aftercare and parents will be charged according to the Aftercare Policy. No exceptions will be made. No students will be left unattended on the school grounds.
