In order to offer these courses, we will enlist the help of our teachers, industry professionals, community members, and parents to help inspire students.  This will involve many in the education of our children, not just teachers.  Classes will have small fees associated with them depending on the length of class and materials required.  Course offerings may consist of:  music, art, drama, physical education, foreign language and more.  Please go to the After School page for additional information and current opportunities.

Enrollment FAQs

  • How soon must I enroll in the PRA Classical Academy for Homeschoolers?

The sooner the better! Classes always fill up quickly! Due to our space restrictions, once the classes are at maximum capacity, students will then be placed on a waiting list.

  • Do students need to take placement tests prior to the start of school?

Every new student will need to take a Saxon Math placement test.  Correct placement should lead to the ultimate success of the student. Please have your student take the test. Parents should then process the results so they can be reported to us. These results will be requested prior to the beginning of the school year. Please do not send us the raw test.

  • Do I need to provide a writing sample for my student?

Students attending the two day a week, grade 5-8, program should provide a current writing sample. It is not necessary to have your student do a new writing topic. Any recent writing that is representative of your student's current ability will be acceptable. It can be either hand-written or typed. One to two pages will be sufficient. The writing sample will be requested prior to the beginning of the school year.

  • Am I allowed to attend PRA Classical Academy for Homeschoolers if I live outside of Douglas County?

Yes, students may attend our program if they reside in Douglas County or in any of the nearby surrounding counties. Whichever county you reside in, you will need to provide proof of residency (tax notice, warranty deed, deed of trust, or a lease agreement) with your enrollment paperwork.

In order to obtain a spot with PRA Classical Academy for Homeschoolers, a complete registration packet must be filled out and submitted. Spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
