Crossing Guard

Crossing Guard Duty

  • Parents help with crossing guard duty in the mornings and afternoons during drop-off and pick-up times.

  • Carpool duty is assigned to one grade level for each month of the school year.

  • Parents are asked to sign up for four crossing guard duty spots for each child who attends PRA.

  • You will receive an email with signup details prior to the month(s) you are assigned.

  • Parents are required to demonstrate understanding of the carpool duty expectations by taking an online crosswalk safety course.

  • Prior to the first day of carpool duty, each parent is required to take and pass the course quiz. Please see the crossing guard video and test below. Turn in completed tests to the front office.

Car Line Information
At PRA, safety is always a priority.
We depend on our parent crossing guard volunteers to:

  • Keep children moving safely across crosswalks to and from school.
  • Keep car traffic flowing so it doesn't back up on Colorado Boulevard.
  • Be a friendly presence at crosswalks for children and parents.
