Preschool Staff

I have been a Ladybug teacher at Espree since the school opened in 1998. I love this age group and enjoy every day that I am in the classroom. I received an Associate's Degree from Mesa State College in Early Childhood Education, and then continued my education at Metro State College of Denver where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science with a minor in Sociology. I believe that children learn best when they are happy and comfortable with their surroundings. I feel that a teacher's enthusiasm for teaching will in turn, inspire a love for learning. 

I grew up in the South Denver area and now live in Parker with my husband and two children. My daughter, Becca, attends college at Kansas State University and my son, Brady, attends college at the University of Oregon. I enjoy reading, games and exploring our beautiful Colorado Mountains. 

I have worked at Espree since the school opened in 1998. I have enjoyed being a Ladybug teacher since September of 2004. I am amazed everyday by the children's continued eagerness and excitement to learn new things. The children are always able to turn any day into a good one with their hugs and smiles. I truly enjoy watching the children grow and learn throughout the year.  

This will be my second year at Espree Child Learning Center. Previously I had spent 11 years in kindergarten where I fell in love with the “littles”. I absolutely love how unique each child is and their ability to absorb so much around them! I believe children thrive in an educational environment that supports their growth mentally, emotionally, and socially. I enjoy seeing children learn new things and the excitement that it brings. Each child has exceptional learning potential and I am very fortunate to be alongside them on their journey.

I have two adult children, Cameron (24) and Grace (21) and just celebrated my 26th wedding anniversary with my husband Rob. We have two super cute Yorkypoo pups, Zoe and Abby, and added an adorable puppy, Milo, to our Burgan crew last summer. When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy going to concerts, movies, hiking, and spending time with my family.

I’m looking forward to this upcoming school year and getting to know each child and family. 

I taught in the early years of Espree opening and then returned to Espree in 2009. I graduated from Mesa State College with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I have always loved working with children and began working towards a career with them when I was 16 years old. Preschoolers have always been my favorite age group. Their love and excitement for learning is always rewarding to me. 

I enjoy photography, scrapbooking, and spending time with friends and my husband, Tom, son, T.J., and daughter, Maylee.

I joined the Espree staff in June 2021. I graduated from Chaparral High School and shortly after attended ACC where I earned an Early Childhood Education Teacher certification. I am originally from Illinois and moved to Colorado when I was 14 years old. I have been working with children since I was 16 years old and have loved every minute of it!

I enjoy shopping, watching movies, and spending time with my husband, Brad. I enjoy decorating for all things, and home renovations. My husband and I also enjoy spending time with our pets Walter (our dog), Mikko and Otto (our cats!)

I have been teaching at Espree since 2022. I am excited to be teaching at this school with this community for another year. I am a Colorado native, enjoy serving at my church, and love doing many water activities during the summer (rafting, paddle boarding, boating, etc.)! My husband and I are also so blessed to be welcoming our first baby in February 2025. :)

I started my teaching career about 5 years ago in New York. I joined Espree in August 2024. I have been teaching Pre-K for about 3 years now and before that I was a nanny for 3 years. I grew up babysitting and spending time in my mom’s Pre-K classroom, and that's how my passion for early education grew. 

I am originally from Upstate New York and recently moved to Colorado in July 2024. I love to be outdoors, lay in the sunshine, swim (at my own leisure), and spend time with my loved ones. Anything involving using my creativity is my kind of time! Excited to see what this school year brings!

I recently graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. At the age of 17, I began working at a before and after school child care program to pay my way through college.

Throughout this experience, I discovered an unequivocal admiration for working with children of all ages. After leaving school I figured there was no better place to start my teaching career than in the Frog classroom at Platte River Academy/Espree Child Learning Center. In my short months of teaching, I have developed a newfound appreciation for teachers and their hard-work and dedication to your children. I am so thankful to have our PRA/Espree families join me on this new journey and I look forward to learning with your children! I enjoy trying new foods, exploring mountain towns, going to see the latest movie releases in theaters, and spending time with friends and family on the weekends.

I have been working with children of all ages for many years. I have a double major in communications and journalism from The University of Colorado at Boulder along with a teaching license from the University of Colorado at Denver. I have had a love for children ever since I can remember. My childcare and teaching experiences have encompassed the go-to babysitter as a young girl, full-time nanny in her early twenties, in-home childcare owner for 14 years, preschool aide, substitute teacher, and most recently a kindergarten teacher. 

I have three amazing children, a supportive husband and the sweetest Bernese Mountain dog. My family and I are so excited for this new journey at Espree Learning Center and Platte River Academy Preschool!

I am starting my fifth year teaching at Espree.  I have eleven years of teaching experience. I received my bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Liberal Arts with an emphasis in math and a minor in reading from the University of Northern Colorado.  I also completed my teacher licensure program at Metropolitan State College of Denver. I have experience teaching children ranging in age from 2 1/2 to 6 years old, including teaching kindergarten in a private preschool.

I am a fourth-generation Colorado native. I spend most of my free time with my family, my husband of 17 years and our son Connor who was born in November of 2018.  We enjoy spending time outside exploring, dancing, and cooking. 

I have been a part of the Espree family since 2000. I graduated from Metro State College of Denver. I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Social Work and my alternative teaching license from Mountain BOCES.  I love coming to school every day and seeing how excited the children are to learn.  I believe that students learn best in a positive and happy environment with a teacher that is excited to share what they know.

I live in Conifer with my family. My husband Chad and I have three children: Jordan, Camden and Parker. We love the outdoors, camping, hiking and snowshoeing. 

I was born and raised in Colorado. I graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver. I have a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. I have completed numerous classes in early childhood education and am a qualified Early Childhood Education teacher. I joined Espree in 1999 when I began my journey as a teacher assistant. In 2009, I took some time off to finish school and returned to Espree as a teacher in 2012. I am very passionate about teaching young children. My teaching style includes giving each child the best chance for future growth. My teaching methods are based on students' interests, group activities and experiments. 

In my spare time I enjoy traveling, drawing and spending time with my family.  My husband, Chris, and I have three kids, my step-son Colin, my son Maddox and my daughter Kinsley.
