Make Connections through Core Knowledge Events
Each year, each grade level from kindergarten through 5th grade takes part in a Core Knowledge event. These events integrate the Core Knowledge curriculum students are learning with the arts, music, and physical education. If you were to ask our students about the most memorable parts of the school year, they would probably talk about our Core Knowledge events. They involve our entire school - students, teachers, parent volunteers, and students from older grades who learn leadership skills by helping with the events.
These events bring our curriculum to life, giving children a chance to engage with history and literature in a hands-on way. Ultimately, Core Knowledge events are one of the hallmarks of PRA that make it a special place to learn.

Volunteers are the Key to our Success
Make Lasting Memories with your Children
at a Core Knowledge Event
Parent volunteers are important part of these events. They donate supplies and snacks, serve as station leaders, and help with setup and cleanup.
Sign-ups for each grade level event are sent out about a month before the scheduled event. Be on the lookout for these signups as your child's event gets closer. Information will be coming from our Core Knowledge Events Coordinator and your child's teaching team.
We appreciate everything our volunteers do to be part of the "magic" that happens at PRA.
