Carline/Neighborhood Drop Off and Pick Up Safety Tips

Please have your CAR LINE PLACARD on display the ENTIRE time you are in carline. If you need a new one or don’t have one, email Heidi Kruglet and she will get one to you.
Please teach your child to buckle and unbuckle their car seat/booster seat. Parents are NOT to get out of the car during carline. If you are not comfortable with this, please park your car and walk down to get your child.
DO NOT park within 5 feet of a driveway. This is for visual clearance of people leaving these areas.
DO NOT park within 15 feet of a stop sign or end of a street. This limits visibility for pedestrians and automobiles.
DO NOT double park in the lane of traffic and load or unload children.
DO NOT cross the street at non-designated areas with or without your children. Only use crossings with crosswalks or curb cuts at intersections.
DO NOT make U-turns in school zones. This includes the middle of the block in the neighborhoods, across the median on Colorado Blvd or in intersections adjacent to the school facility.
DO NOT park in front of the mailboxes on Lark Sparrow St. (This is a courtesy to our mailman...he has trouble accessing the mailboxes)
DO NOT use private property to drop off or pick up children. This includes driveways, sidewalks or yards.
DO NOT park in the school driveway above the green gate. This creates a fire lane blockage in case of an emergency.
